It is rightly said that “Strong resolves come in proportion to men of determination, and noble deeds come in proportion to magnanimous men”
We as a school leadership and faculty, have the determination and commitment to achieve our vision, to be an education model which embraces human communication, understanding empathy and appreciation of diversity, while mitigating and resolving any challenges that may come our way.
As the new director of The American German School, AGS, I am pleased to give a brief introduction of myself and experience. I have over 28 years of experience in education, occupying leadership positions in educational administration, curriculum building and management, governing program restructuring and as well as leading and supervising accreditation.
Upon joining the AGS family, I was delighted to see a profound alignment in values among the school’s faculty and my personal values including transparency, importance of trust, respect, a sense of community, determination and continuous growth and innovation. Students’ learning, growth and innovation is the key to our success and a truly effective learning path can only be achieved by design. To maximize our potential, our values are purposely woven into everything we do from curriculum and policies to painting walls of classrooms. It is our goal to make sure that AGS is a place where students thrive both physically and intellectually.
I believe that due to the alignment in these values, we were able to successfully navigate a challenging year while laying the groundwork for our vision, future of growth and goal achievements. Success, however, does not come at a low cost and our great AGS teachers and faculty members work hard to support the school and each student’s growth path.
I wish our AGS family a pleasant and safe year ahead.
